Office environment and about the job
The division Catto Homecare is an energetic business and we need someone who is naturally motivated with a positive outlook on life. You will be a problem solver, have a calm head, be confident at managing stress and have a flexible approach. You need to be meticulous in your work.
You will split your time between working in the office and visiting privately funded client houses. You will have an allocated desk in the office and we continue to have COVID screens so that we remain protective of staff members. We have a small meeting room and air conditioning throughout the office. You would join our existing team as we are undergoing expansion of the business currently. You will complement our other Team Leader by maintaining and completing our weekly rota consisting of approx. 300 visits per week from an Excel spreadsheet and using our ICT Bureau software. We are about to embark on paperless care plans and meds charts so experience of using one would be useful.
As we work with elderly and vulnerable clients, you need to have received at least one COVID jab (and be prepared to have the second one).
- Must be a car driver
- Must have experience with rostering and have held a Team Leader or supervisory role previously
- Must hold an NVQ Level 3 (or NVQ Level 2 to sign up for a Level 3 if you are signed up before 31 August 2021)
- Must have good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience of rostering software is essential
- Experience of PASS system would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given
- Must have received at least one COVID jab (and be prepared to have the second one)
- Must be able to work alternate weekends
- You will hold the oncall for a week, every third week (paid on a daily basis)
About the business
Catto International Limited is 22 years old, undertaking domiciliary care within a 5-mile radius of the office in Mytchett. We have a wonderful team of domiciliary care workers and a high level of attendance.
Catto Homecare offers privately funded personal care, support services and companionship to adults and older people with MS, various types of dementia, arthritis, osteoporosis, stroke / TIA’s, amputations, COPD, Parkinson’s, renal failure, cellulitis, long-term COVID, cancer and of course broken bones among other conditions. Most of their referrals are generated by word of mouth from our existing clients.
Staff are trained to provide a high quality of care and attention to detail. Carers are all able to provide lymphatic drainage for legs for those with Lymphedema.
Companionship also includes ‘party in the car’ by visiting drive throughs, going for a walk in wheelchairs as well as taking clients to routine appointments and sometimes to hospital appointments where appropriate.
We are sensible and protective of workers and our clients. All employees are respectful of PPE rules.
