What is the PPE policy with COVID-19 or other viruses?
Catto Homecare has been pro-active with face masks and wearing the correct PPE. For approximately seven years we have had a policy in place to wear masks if a client or worker has a cold. All staff carry a PPE basket and are prepared to immediately switch to a high-risk environment.
Why is Catto one of the most respected care agencies in the area?
Our focus is on the fundamental issues of hydration, prevention of urine infections and hand hygiene / nail care. Our Team Leaders and Supervisor carry urine dip stick tests and we work in conjunction with the Community Matrons who provide the training and support as and when needed. We introduce each member of staff in person so that no one turns up at the door as a stranger.

What is the minimum call time?
Catto Homecare’s minimum call time is 45 mins.
What services do we offer on a seven day a week basis?
Personal care, meal prompts and / or preparation and / or assistance to eat, medication prompts and / or administration, supporting people on outings and activities in the community, collection of routine or emergency prescriptions, shopping, accompanying on medical (hospital or GP) and dental visits etc., respite cover if you are the main carer and need assistance for four weeks or more, providing care to people post hospital discharge, assisting with laundry and light household cleaning and possibly our most popular request of outings once a week to get out the house eg to a garden centre, M&S for a tea and cake etc. We can also provide a buddy up service if you have a loved one who requires a constant chaperone at a day centre.
What services is Catto Homecare registered to provide?
Catto Homecare is registered to provide services for adults of 18 years+ with:
- Dementia (Alzheimer’s, Mixed Dementia, Vascular Dementia…)
- Learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder
- Sensory impairments (macular degeneration, cataracts…)
- Physical disabilities (including amputees)
